At Steve Lloyd Timber we produce kiln -dried firewood (both hardwood and softwood)

Kiln-dried firewood is dried in a kiln using heat and airflow, bringing the moisture content down to below 20%—typically around 10-15%. (n.b. naturally seasoned wood has a higher moisture content) This guarantees a clean, high-efficiency burn.

Kiln-Dried Firewood:

  • Ready-to-burn certified: Meets UK government regulations and is ideal for use in wood-burning stoves, especially in smoke-controlled zones.
  • High heat output: Less moisture means more heat per log, reducing the number of logs you need to burn.
